What's new.

What changed in each release of load, newest first.

0.6.4Safer in the feed
  • Block or report anyone Someone you've never friended can be reported or blocked too: from their profile, a friend request, a comment or a post.
  • Slurs stay out Slurs and explicit words are refused in posts, comments, bios and names, so the feed stays a place to train.
  • A clearer privacy policy It now says exactly what the app sends, and that the iPhone app has no analytics at all.
0.6.3Stick it on your story
  • Your workout, on your story Copy a sticker from the share sheet and paste it onto your Instagram story, then move and resize it there.
  • Nothing missed while you were away Invites and notifications that arrived while LOAD was in the background now show up as soon as you come back.
  • Edit Workout opens with your sets On a fresh sign-in, Edit Workout waits for your workouts to arrive instead of opening empty.
  • Limits that say what happened Hit a comment or plan limit and LOAD tells you which one, instead of a vague "Could not…".
0.6.1On the right day
  • Fix a workout's date and time Logged a session late? Edit Workout now sets a finished workout's date, start time and duration, so it lands on the day you trained.
  • Starting weights from your latest session Start a saved workout or log one again and the weights come from your newest run of it, even when you did it twice in one day.
  • Feed and notes, tidied A reaction no longer looks like a comment on a post, and a set's note shows as LAST NOTE for the next session only.
0.6.0Made for iPhone
  • Ready for the App Store app The iPhone app is on its way to the App Store, with notifications like any other app, staying signed in, and invite links from friends that open straight into load.
  • Your workout on the Lock Screen In the iPhone app, your current exercise and set sit on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island while you train.
  • Widgets at a glance In the iPhone app: today's session, your streak and your habits on your Home Screen and Lock Screen.
  • Tick yesterday's habits from the Habits list Page back a day on the Habits screen and tick what you did, without a trip to the Log screen.
  • Help, one tap away Settings → Support has answers to the common questions and a direct line to us.
0.5.10Housekeeping
  • Training partners, tidied up The invite sheet puts the people you actually train with at the top. Pulling an invite back now reaches the person you sent it to, and a host can remove someone who has already joined.
  • Everyone you have blocked, in one place Settings now lists the accounts you have blocked, with one tap to unblock. Blocking and reporting already worked, now you can see what you did and undo it.
  • Choose which notifications reach you Comments and mentions each have their own switch now, so you decide what is worth a ping and what just waits for you in the tray.
0.5.9The little things
  • Backdate your logging Missed a weigh-in or a habit yesterday? Page the Log screen back and record it against the day it actually happened, habits and weight both. Back-filling even repairs a broken streak.
  • Your week at a glance Home now shows the whole week, which days you have a workout planned, which are done, which are rest; tap it to open your full plan calendar. And weeks start on Monday now, everywhere, like the gym and the calendar.
  • Invites that find you Friend requests and workout-buddy invites now arrive the same way wherever you are, one tap to Accept or Decline. And re-inviting a training partner after you have wrapped up just works.
  • Warm-up sets, counted right Flag a set as a warm-up and it still counts as done, it just stays out of your volume, PRs and progress. Marking one no longer wipes the tick off a set you actually finished.
  • Planning, in one flow Building a plan now happens in a single sheet: plan → workout → exercise, without bouncing between screens or losing your place. Duplicate a plan or a prebuilt one to make it your own.
  • Made for the big screen On the web, the screens that were built for your phone now use the whole desktop, two-column detail views, a master-detail calendar, and a feed with its own rail.
0.5.8Say something
  • Post without a workout Something on your mind that is not a training session? Write it straight from the Feed, text, photos, or both. It lands in your friends’ feed like any other post, with the same reactions and comments.
  • Like a comment, see who reacted Comments now have a heart of their own. And tapping the reaction count on a post opens the full list of who reacted, including people outside your friends, with the friends you have in common.
  • Tag the gym Add where you trained to a post. It is per-post and never remembered, so a place only ever appears because you put it there, and it stays hidden on summary posts, like your name and numbers.
  • Notes that stay with the kit Save seat height, pad position or any setup against an exercise and it greets you every session. Workouts take a note and a reference link too, and you can paste a YouTube link on an exercise to play the demo mid-session, off by default and never loading until you tap.
  • Plans that keep moving Rotating plans no longer stick on a rest day, and if one has been sitting on the same session for a fortnight we will ask whether you are still doing it. "Trained today" and the friends calendar also agree with each other again.
  • Updates that actually arrive When a new version ships, a quiet banner offers it. Nothing reloads on its own, mid-set with a half-typed weight is no time for a surprise refresh, so it waits for you to tap.
0.5.7You told us, we fixed it
  • Your habit ticks stay ticked Marking a habit done could look like it worked and then quietly undo itself moments later, and the count got stuck, so you could not clear it either. Both are fixed, and the week strip and streaks that were thrown off by it are right again.
  • Notifications that behave Reacting to a post now actually tells the author. And accepting a friend request clears the notification, instead of leaving a card behind that errored when you tapped it.
  • Editing a workout is less of a fight Rest time responds to every tap and you can now type it straight in. You can create a brand-new exercise without leaving the editor. And saving takes you back where you expected, no more back, back, back to reach home.
  • Training together, tracked properly A friend who trained at the same time as you now shows as having trained today, wherever in the world you both are. Joining their session no longer strands you on an empty screen. Plus: pinch to zoom photos in the feed, and Resume sits at the top of Workouts where you would look for it.
  • More on the way Nearly everything here came straight from feedback you sent us. We are working through the rest of it now and there will be more landing shortly, so please keep telling us what is not right.
0.5.6Train together
  • A Friends tab, feed first Friends now has its own tab, opening on a plain chronological feed of what the people you train with have been up to. No algorithm, just your friends, newest first.
  • Share a session, with photos Finished something worth showing? Share it to the feed with up to four photos and a caption. You choose the reach on every post, full detail or just a summary, and you can change your mind or delete it later.
  • React, comment, tag Drop a 💪 🔥 👏 or ❤️, leave a comment, and @mention a friend to pull them in. They get a notification when you do.
  • Find your people faster Search as you type to find someone by name or @username, see how many friends you have in common, and get suggestions from friends-of-friends.
  • Your feed, your call Block anyone from your feed, and report a post, photo or comment with a reason, it goes straight to our moderation team.
0.5.5Plans that train you back
  • Plans that set your weights Give a plan a progression, steady, undulating or with deloads, and it prescribes each set’s weight for the week, scaling from your own working weights. Pick a curve when you build a plan.
  • See your whole training block One graph, three lines: your planned curve, your actual logged volume, and a projection of where you’re headed, so you know at a glance if you’re ahead of plan.
  • Deloads, handled On a back-off week your targets ease automatically, with a heads-up in the session so a lighter day reads as intentional, not a mistake.
  • Smarter starting weights New to a lift? Tell us your experience level and we’ll suggest sensible starting loads, and prefill from the last time you did this exact workout.
0.5.4Logging, powered up
  • See your last time, right there Your weights and reps from last session show above each exercise, with a faint hint in empty fields, so beating it is easy.
  • Notes that come back around A note you leave on a set reappears next time you train that exercise, so a cue to yourself never gets lost.
  • Drop sets in a tap Add a drop set and the weight steps down for you, burn out the last reps without doing the math on the bar.
  • Keep your rep tempo Turn on a metronome from the workout menu to pace the up and down of each rep.
  • Faster, smarter numbers A quick keypad on phones and arrow-key nudges on desktop, with increments that match your equipment. Set your own step in Settings.
0.5.3Stay in the loop
  • Your notifications, in one place A new bell up top gathers friend requests and workout invites into one tidy list.
  • Never miss an invite Friend requests and workout invites now reach you wherever you are in the app, not just on the friends screen.
  • Clear the clutter Swipe a notification away or clear them all at once, and invites that are no longer valid tidy themselves up.
0.5.2Squad up
  • Put a face to the name Add a profile picture, and see your friends’ photos across the app, from buddy sessions to invites.
  • Train as a group Buddy sessions now fit the whole crew, up to six people on one shared session from a single code.
  • Add exercises mid-workout Missing a movement? Create a brand-new exercise without leaving your session.
  • Smoother all around Everyone in a shared workout can now swap and remove exercises, plus a tidier buddy invite sheet and other fixes.
0.5.1Cardio, dialed in
  • Track cardio properly Log machines by resistance, the treadmill by speed and runs by distance, each over a set number of minutes.
  • Minutes, not just seconds Timed exercises now count in minutes, so 10.5 reads as 10 min 30 sec.
  • A slicker saved-workout editor Editing a saved workout now uses the same fast editor as a live session, drag to reorder, group supersets, tweak sets in a tap.
  • Friends, easier to keep up with Search your friends list, and catch friend requests and workout invites wherever you are, with your pending requests always a tap away.
  • Smoother all around Fixed a workout-edit back-loop, a timer that kept counting on finished workouts, and a few off-kilter buttons.
0.5.0Train with friends
  • Add friends Find friends by username, QR or a share link, or add someone you’ve trained with.
  • See friends on your calendar The days your friends train show up right alongside your own.
  • Invite a friend to a workout Pull a friend into a live session, no code needed.
  • You choose what’s shared Pick exactly what friends see, never your weights, journal or body metrics.
0.4.0Workouts, leveled up
  • Edit any workout Reorder, swap, add or remove exercises, live or finished.
  • Supersets by dragging Drop one exercise onto another to group them into a superset.
  • Duplicate & swipe Swipe a set or exercise left to duplicate or delete it.
  • Cleaner set logging Tap a value to edit; tap the set number for warmup, RPE, rest & notes.

Every set
counts.
